Application Fee Waivers for McNair Scholars

All individuals who wish to be considered for a waiver or refund of the $85 application fee must have participated in one of the designated program of study and must meet the eligibility requirements. Except as noted, all applicants must pay the $85 fee when submitting their application in order for their application to be reviewed and considered.

Application Deadline: October 15, 2007 by 9:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time
All required documents must be postmarked by October 15, 2007 in order to make your application complete. If these documents are not postmarked by the official deadline, your application will be ineligible.

In order to apply for a Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship, you must
have a CURRENT email account. It is important that you use an email
address that you check regularly, as all correspondence will be sent to
you by email. Helpful Hint: Please make sure you identify HSF as a
personal contact so that our messages do not end up in your Spam folder.
To begin applying, click the “Register now” link on the left hand side.
After you complete the Registration section, you’ll receive an email
asking you to verify your email account. Once you verify your email
address, you may begin the application process. Go to your home page on
the online system by clicking on “Home” on the left hand side. This will
identify the three steps you need to take in applying for a scholarship.
Step 1: Submit a Universal Application.
Step 2: Apply for Scholarships: All scholarships that you are eligible
for will be listed here. To apply, please click on “start your
application” and follow the instructions. In order to be considered for
more than one scholarship, you must apply to each scholarship listed by
clicking on each respective scholarship program.
Step 3: Submit Required Documents: All documents that are required in
order to complete your application will be listed here. Click on the
“required” link to see more instructions on submitting these documents.
Once all required documents have been received, an email will be sent to you alerting you that your application is now complete.
