Jack Jenkins-Stark

Jack Jenkins-Stark, an alumnus
holding both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree
in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, serves as Chief
Financial Officer for Silicon Valley Bank Financial
Group, overseeing all aspects of the company's strategic
and operational financial activities. Because of his
strong ties to the department and to the campus, Jack
has been instrumental in the formulation of the Jenkins-Stark
Awards for Special Achievement in Economics. These funds
support the academic and research programs of bright,
talented and, in keeping with Jack's altruistic interests,
"at-risk" undergraduate students. |

| Su-Mi Kim was the 2008
winner of the Jenkins-Stark Scholarship. Su-Mi is a continuing student majoring in Business Economics with an Emphasis in Accounting. She transferred from Santa Barbara City College and has earned a 3.79 overall GPA at UCSB. Both her and her husband are students at UCSB and they just gave birth to a son 1 month ago. Her future plans are to work at one of the four big accounting firms in an entry level auditing field. |
