The Economics Department’s Seminar
Series forms the center of the intellectual
life of the faculty and graduate students. Once or twice
weekly, the department hosts a visiting speaker, usually
from another university, who presents his or her latest
research for comments and criticism. Since publication lags
can be very long, the seminar series is an essential tool
in keeping our own faculty and graduate students in touch
with the newest developments in the field.
Donations to the department’s seminar series would
allow us to expand these links to the world’s research
community, bringing in a greater number of speakers and
allowing us greater flexibility to invite top researchers,
regardless of their location.
