Blacklisting
Signing up for an event and then failing
to attend subjects you to certain
penalties under the association’s
blacklisting policy:
This policy is in effect whether
or not you are confirmed to attend an
event or on the waiting list. If you are on
the waiting list and are bumped
up to attend an event, then you will be
notified by phone up to two (2) hours
before the event.
You must cancel three (3) days
or 72 hours before an event begins via
email to the designated officer (see
below).
Failure to cancel in due time
will result in suspension from attending
the
following two (2) events and will
carry into the next quarter.
A letter of apology should be
written to the firm and given to an
officer.
This policy is necessary to hold members
accountable for their obligations. It is
a courtesy to the recruiters, officers,
and other members that you cancel in
time to make space for students who
would like to attend an event.
Please keep in mind that you are
representing UCSB, the Accounting
program, the Accounting Association,
and yourself. Be responsible and cancel
your attendance ASAP when you find that
you cannot attend an event.
Please send all cancellations to the
External VP, Lisa Zaura,
who may be contacted at
UCSBAAexternalvp@yahoo.com
