Distribution of Scores on Top 4 Quizzes

The part of your grade that is determined by your quizzes depends on  your best
four quiz scores.  I calculated these as follows.   Since Quiz 1 had only 80 points and the rest
of the quizzes had 100,  I multiplied everyone's quiz 1 score by 1.25.  So now you have 5 quiz scores, on each of which the maximum possible points is 100.  I added these 5 scores and subtracted the smallest of these 5.  This gives me your score on your top 4 quizzes.

The distribution of top 4 scores is approximately as follows:

Approximate A range 352-400   (top 13%)
Approximate B range 312-351    (next 34%)
Approximate C range 260-311

When I calculate your overall grade, I will use your numerical total score on quizzes for averaging, along with  your final exam score, your hw scores, attendance scores, and your winnings.
