Professor Antony Millner's research on long-run forecasting was featured by the American Economic Association as part of its monthly Research Highlight series.

"We're not good at forecasting the long run," Millner said in an interview with the American Economic Association. "But that doesn't mean that we should be putting effort into improving long-term predictions, because we need to filter those metrics of forecast skill through people's decision processes."

In his paper, "Prediction: The Long and Short of It," Millner and coauthor Daniel Heyen propose a model that can help determine the relative importance of short- and long-run predictions for decision-making.
