Cecilia Speroni

Biography

Dr. Cecilia Speroni is an evaluator at the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and a research affiliate at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to joining NSF, Dr. Speroni was a senior researcher and deputy director of STEM research at Mathematica and held research positions at the American Institutes for Research and the Community College Research Center. She has extensive experience designing and conducting large-scale impact evaluations of educational policies and programs, particularly those benefiting underserved groups. She currently supports the NSF Chief Evaluation Officer, contributing to the advancement of evidence generation and utilization within the federal government. Dr. Speroni earned her Ph.D. in economics and education with distinction from Columbia University.
